The Path of the Honorable Leader – To Serve and Not be Served

Greetings Leaders…

All of our great religious teachers  taught that we should serve others. That as part of living a life worth living, we should not look to be served, but to serve others humbly with a gentle heart. Yet ironically, humanity has added words like “except”, “unless” or “but” to their teaching. We must serve others… but… unless… except.  As you go about your life today, as you go to work, watch your kids, talk with your loved ones or simply go about your day, drop the words “except”,  “unless” and “but” from your thoughts and just… serve others. Ask yourself, who can I serve today? While you may be tempted to think that this is just an altruistic act, you will find that at the end of your day you will have more peace and joy in your life, than if you decided to just focus on yourself all day.

All the best!
All the time!
John
