Leaders – How To Make Money

Greetings Leaders!

The other day I blogged about success and said that success isn’t defined by money. That is certainly true. However, we all need to make money. Why? Money allows us to care for ourselves and our family. Without money, life can be very miserable indeed. While I wish the world operated more altruistically, the harsh reality is that there is no such thing as a free lunch. So, a leader needs to know how to make money. The question becomes, how do you as a leader accomplish this?

There is nothing magic about making money. Money can be made in only a few ways.

1. Trading hours for dollars
2. Creating a product (or a business) and sell it
3. Investing your money
4. Leveraging other peoples time

I believe that’s it! Well, you could physically make it – but plan on going to jail if you get caught. Most of us fall into number two – trading hours for dollars. I hope this isn’t news to you, but by leaving yourself in number 2, you are putting yourself at the mercy of the economic conditions of the times. Here is the takeaway…

To make money – you are going to have to do more than just trade hours for dollars

The only difference between those with money and those without it, is dedication and perseverance. You cannot expect to secure your financial future by trying to keep a job. Now the question becomes, how dedicated are you to securing your financial future? Turn off the television and start looking for ways to leverage your talents to build a better future for you and your family.
