Greetings Leaders!
This is the eight posting in The Path of the Honorable Leader series.
While The Path of the Honorable Leader is a journey, it would not be a journey worth taking unless it leads towards something that is ultimately worthwhile. The Honorable Leader knows that leading means moving forward towards a goal. Valuing people and assisting others in feeling good about themselves is one thing. But what good is a feeling, if it results in nothing?
The Path of the Honorable Leader has purpose… and a leader motivates people towards that purpose by setting goals and looking for results. Results include holding others accountable for their actions. It means tough love. Pushing people to excel. Helping them achieve what they thought was not possible. The Honorable Leader knows that people want to be led… to a higher call… a greater purpose. They want to achieve and are willing to sacrifice… if the goal is ultimately worthwhile.
What is your purpose? What are your goals? How are you measuring results? A leader wrestles with these all the time. Don’t be afraid to push others in an effort to get results.
