The Leadership Soul

swordGreetings Leaders!

As a leader, how do you maintain your edge? In Japan, in addition to practicing daily, the Samurai would ensure that his katana (sword) was honed to perfection and many a Samurai viewed the sword as an extension of his soul.

As a reflection of his soul, the katana was meticulously cared for. It was polished, oiled and cleaned regularly. If a Samurai could afford it, he would take his sword to a Swordsmith who was considered not only a polisher of swords, but a polisher of souls.

So, how seriously do you take your leadership development? In particular, what condition is your leadership soul in? What have you done lately to ensure that your tools are sharp and that your intentions and character are intact?

All the best!
All the time!
